Parents: Darrell and Denise Alford
High School: Corinth Holders
Travel Teams: Johnston County Heat, Bunn Volleyball Club
Also Considered: Meredith, Barton
Why Peace? “I like the small school atmosphere and I really liked the coach. It’s not too far from home and it’s a small college located in a big city.”
Notable: Lindsay, along with fellow signee Cole Narron, helped the Pirates roll up 52 varsity wins in four seasons while starting the Corinth Holders volleyball program from scratch. The middle hitter and blocker was an all-conference selection. … “I’ll remember how we had to come together as a team in our freshman year to start a team,” Lindsay said. “We really worked together to excel over the years and finished with a conference championship (the Two Rivers 3A Conference title last fall).” … She’d like to improve her quickness and leaping ability as she gets ready for college volleyball.
Corinth Holders coach Charles Riley: “Lindsay is probably the most improved player we’ve had here in the four years of the program. She came from a middle school-only volleyball background but got involved in travel teams because she knew that’s what it would take to be as good as she could be. She will work as hard as anyone to get better.”
