Princeton’s Jake Williams rolled to the Carolina 1A Conference tennis championship with a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Rosewood’s Marc Lewis on Tuesday.
He will be joined at regionals by teammates Alan Farrior and Garrett Klein who took third place in the league in doubles.
The top three finishers in singles and doubles moved into the individual regionals, which are set for May 6 at the RIverbirch Tennis Center in Greenville.

Carolina 1A Baseball: Four teams are vying for the three automatic playoff bids — Spring Creek, Rosewood, Princeton and North Duplin — with three league games to go (entering Friday’s action). Princeton is currently a game up on North Duplin for third place and a game behind Rosewood, two behind Spring Creek.
Carolina 1A Softball: The title chase all came down to North Duplin vs. Princeton late this week. Rosewood appears to have a lock on third place.
Eastern Plains 2A Baseball: North Johnston is two games up on the field in the conference title race with just three to play.

Two Rivers 3A Baseball: Cleveland stayed a game in front of South Johnston with a 4-2 win over Western Harnett, while South had a win over Smithfield-Selma and faced a Saturday battle with Triton to finish the regular season. Corinth Holders is still in control of the last automatic playoff bid.
Two Rivers 3A Softball: Cleveland leads the league by a half-game after Tuesday’s results with Triton and South Johnston both sitting tied for second.
Greater Neuse River 4A Baseball: West Johnston has clinched no worse than a share of the conference championship and wins it outright with just one more win. East Wake, Garner and Clayton all had four losses entering the final 10 days of the season.
Greater Neuse River 4A Softball: Garner is a win away from clinching the conference championship with three games to play. A win Friday over West would have given the Trojans the title. West Johnston and Rolesville are positioned to take the auto bids.
