Cary police search for suspects in home invasion

Police are looking for two men suspected in a home invasion on Castalia Drive on Tuesday afternoon.

Two girls were home when someone tried to break into the house about 3 p.m., according to police.

The first suspect is described as a black man in his mid-20s to early 30s with a medium complexion. He is about 5-foot-7 and 130 pounds with short curly hair, brown eyes and a full beard with mustache, according to police. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, white T-shirt, dark blue baggy jeans and black sneakers.

The second suspect is described as a black man in his early 30s with a dark complexion. He is about 5-foot-9 to 5-foot-11 and 180 pounds, according to police. He has brown eyes, patchy facial hair and short dreadlocks. He was wearing a baggy gray zip-up jacket, white T-shirt, dark baggy jeans and black sneakers.

In a 911 call released by the town of Cary, a girl told a dispatcher that someone was trying to break in. The dispatcher stayed on the phone with her until police arrived.
