Over the course of almost four years, a Cary man had and duplicated pornographic computer files that showed children ranging from a newborn baby to an 8-year-old in sexual situations, police charged in arrest warrants Monday afternoon.
Andrew Stephen Lazetera, 27, of 24301 Havers Drive, was being held Tuesday in lieu of $1 million bail for a first court appearance on 18 counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a child.
In the arrest warrants, police stated that Lazetera had the pictures between the beginning of 2011 and last Friday.
Friday, police went to Lazetera’s apartment with a search warrant and seized nine computers and a variety of disks and hard drives for storing computer files.
Detectives returned the search warrant to the Wake County court clerk’s office Monday.
Records show police formally arrested Lazetera after bringing him to Cary police headquarters.
