Two days after charging a 38-year-old man with sexual activity with a child, Morrisville police Friday lodged 12 counts, saying he had been exchanging child pornography on the Internet.
Six of the counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a child say that Cory Marcell Ellis sent pornographic videos to a Cary police officer working undercover by computer.
Ellis had been arrested Jan. 7 at his home at 105 Shakespeare St., on charges of sex offense against a child and taking indecent liberties with a child that police said stemmed from an incident the same day.
He was being held at the Wake County Detention Center when police brought the sexual exploitation charges based on what arrest warrants said was activity between Dec. 23 and late last week.
After the charges Friday, Ellis’ bail stood at $650,000, and he was scheduled for a Monday court appearance.
