Cary man charged with robbing Fifth Third Bank

Police arrested a Cary man and charged him with robbing a Fifth Third Bank on Tryon Road Tuesday morning.

Andrew Bajerski, 23, of Murray Glen Drive faces a charge of felony armed robbery.

Cary police believe Bajerski robbed the bank at 7210 Tryon Road shortly after 11 a.m. Tuesday. A man entered the bank, suggested he had a weapon and left with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to police.

No one was injured, and no customers were in the bank at the time, according to a news release.

Bajerski was being held in the Wake County detention center. If convicted, he could face up to 13 years in jail.
