Police are asking for help identifying a woman who they say has used stolen credit cards.
Police distributed two security-camera photos of the suspect, one in which she has a crutch in a shopping cart and one in which she is walking unassisted.
A woman’s pocketbook was stolen Oct. 26 at a Target store, and someone began using her cards at two other stores shortly afterward, Capt. Ann Stephens said.
Similar incidents were reported earlier last month in Apex and in Cary on the same weekend as the latest Apex case.
Stephens said the woman is white, about 5-foot-6, of medium build and has brown hair.
She may sometimes wear an inflatable cast on one foot and carry the crutch, Stephens said.
Apex police asked that anyone with information call them 919-362-8661.
