An undercover operation at a motel near Raleigh-Durham International Airport resulted in police charging a 21-year-old man with being the pimp for a 17-year-old girl.
Marcus Kevvon Gibson, who gave police no permanent address, was charged with sexual servitude with a child and promoting prostitution, according to an arrest warrant.
Police arrested Gibson at the Country Inn & Suites at 201 Airgate Drive.
According to language in the warrant, Gibson showed “reckless disregard” of the consequences of prostitution when he “knowingly subjected” the girl to it.
The warrant also said Gibson received a portion of the money the girl collected.
The girl was uncommunicative with detectives, Capt. Don Hamilton said, and police had not been able to determine where she was from.
