A woman passed a note and took an undetermined amount of cash from a First Citizens Bank branch in Apex, according to police.
The woman was last seen driving from the rear of the bank at 1070 Vision Drive, just off U.S. 64, at 5 p.m. Wednesday, said Capt. C. Myhand. The suspect stands 5-foot-6, weighing 140 pounds with “dirty brown hair,” according to a written release from police.
Capt. Ann Stephens confirmed that the suspect’s hair is believed, literally, to be dirty. She appeared to be wearing a hot-pink tank top over one shoulder in surveillance photos.
Apex police have issued a regional alert for law enforcement agencies to search for the woman’s gray four-door car, possibly with a 30-day license tag.
