An employee at a Wendy's restaurant that was robbed at gunpoint June 13 has been charged with felony conspiracy and being an accessory in the crime.

Shaquanda Antwonette Whitaker, 28, of 2343 Fox Ridge Manor Road was arrested at the restaurant at 8050 Ten-Ten Road on Tuesday afternoon, police said.

In an arrest warrant, police accused Whitaker of providing a car to the three men charged with the robbery and then “giving refuge” in her apartment to one of them, William Thomas Perry, 29.

Perry’s records list his address as the Fox Ridge Manor Apartments where Whitaker lives.

Whitaker was working when detectives went to arrest her, they said.

Perry and Wayne Martez Kornegay, 34, of Jonesville were arrested a week after the $300 holdup and charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy, kidnapping.

Police have warrants charging a third man, Tre Dashone Theet, 20, of Raleigh, they said, and detectives were looking for him.

Whitaker was being held in lieu of $500,000 bail and was to be in court Wednesday.
