‘The Bride of Frankenstein’

Local business owners’ scarecrows are on display in downtown Fuquay-Varina. Vote for your favorite scarecrow by placing quarters in jars beside each one. The proceeds will be split between the Fuquay-Varina Downtown Revitalization Association and the Fuquay-Varina Food Pantry.

Children and their parents are invited to trick or treat at local businesses from 2-5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31, in downtown Fuquay-Varina. Participating businesses display a sign reading “Trick or treat here.”
‘The War of the Worlds’
The Holly Springs Reader’s Theatre Troupe will present “The War of the Worlds” at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29; Thursday, Oct. 30; and Friday, Oct. 31, at 300 W.
