A Fourth of July celebration with games and contests for families will be from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Fred G. Bond Metro Park, 801 High House Road, Cary.

Gates will open at 3 p.m. for a celebration at Koka Booth Amphitheatre, 8003 Regency Parkway, Cary. Independence Day Pancake Breakfast

The annual Independence Day Pancake Breakfast, prepared by the Morrisville Fire Department, will be served from 8-9:45 a.m. at Fire Station 1, 200 Town Hall Drive, Morrisville. Olde Fashioned Fourth of July in Apex

A Fourth of July celebration will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in downtown Apex. The flag will be raised at 9 a.m., activities will begin at 9:15 a.m., the parade lineup will start at 11:45 a.m., Uncle Sam’s Parade of Wheels will begin at noon, and the Fire Department Splash Down will be at 12:30 p.m.

Cary-based nonprofit Fit & Able Productions will host the Night Ride Tri from 8 p.m. Saturday to 2 a.m. Sunday at Triangle Aquatic Center and Cary Towne Center. Races start at 10 p.m. Online registration costs $60 for individuals and $90 for relay teams. Registration the day of the race costs $70 for individuals and $100 for relay teams.
