Fine the company too

This is in response to The Cary News article (May 4) about how the town of Cary levied a $70,000 fine to the owners of Amberwood Apartments for removing large trees along Cary Parkway: The problem will take care of itself if Cary would fine the tree-removal company too.

The word would get around, and those companies would refuse to do the work without a letter of permission from the town.

By the way, it’s not too late to fine McDonald’s near Crossroads Plaza for doing the same thing. Failing to fine that company may have emboldened Amberwood.
