Fires damaged residences on Price and Vesson avenues Sunday, and one of them displaced six people, firefighters said.
Trucks were dispatched about 7:40 p.m. to 2501 Vesson Ave., where an attached shed was aflame.
Fire spread up the side of the two-story building and into a bedroom in a second-floor apartment and the attic, Deputy Chief Chris Iannuzzi said.
Firefighters called the Red Cross to help three adults and three children find places to stay, Iannuzzi said.
Earlier, firefighters found smoke and flames coming out of an apartment in a one-story building at 403 Price Ave., the chief said.
That fire was reported just after 5 p.m.
No one was home at that apartment, Iannuzzi said.
Investigators were trying to determine how both fires started, he said.
