Duke University police were looking Wednesday for two men who they said used a gun to rob a female student on Erwin Road in the university's Central Campus area shortly after midnight.
In an alert to the Duke community, which schools must issue under federal law, police said the men showed a handgun.
Police did not disclose what was taken.
The robbery happened near 1901 Erwin Road, one of several university-owned, two-story apartment buildings. The suspects drove toward Ninth Street in an SUV after the robbery, police were told.

The notice said both suspects were described as dark-complexion males who appeared to be in their 20s, and both were about 6 feet tall. One suspect wore a dark T-shirt and one had dark sweat pants, police said.
Police asked anyone with information that could help investigators identify or find the men to call 919-684-2444.
