Johnston County Commissioners have signed off on rezonings for a solar farm, sand-mining operation and a warehouse.
Commissioners rezoned 38.35 acres on Wendell Road in Wilders Township for industrial use to allow a solar farm. Also on Nov. 7, commissioners approved a sand-mining operation on Devil’s Racetrack Road in Ingrams Township. The 120.16-acre tract is now zoned for industrial use.
Finally, commissioners rezoned 38.35 acres at 95 Atkinson Mill Road in O’Neals Township for a warehouse. Warehouses require an industrial zoning.
No one spoke against any of the rezoning requests.
