Nancy Batchelor, team leader of the community-wide scheduling department, has been named the Johnston Health Ambassador for March.
During a presentation, Chuck Elliott, president and chief executive of Johnston Health, said Batchelor has an excellent work ethic and is dedicated to having a positive work environment. “She does an outstanding job of bridging the communication gap between physicians’ offices and various hospital departments to ensure that every patient scheduled receives the best possible experience that Johnston Health can provide,” he said.
Nineteen years ago, Batchelor started out as director of the intensive care unit. She worked a few years as a nurse educator before moving to community-wide scheduling, where she’s been the last 10 years.
Through the ambassador program, Johnston Health recognizes employees who go above and beyond the call of duty. In addition to eight hours of paid time off, they receive a personalized parking sign and dedicated space for a month.
Batchelor and her husband, Stephen, live in Wilson County, a few miles from Kenly.
