A Raleigh man is accused of stabbing and seriously injuring another man, according to an arrest warrant.
Police suspect that William Bernard Toms, 56, intended to kill Jaquan Toms by stabbing him with a knife on Monday, an arrest warrant states. Public records don’t state whether the two men are related, but an arrest warrant lists both men as residents of 4746 Walden Pond Drive.
A separate warrant accuses William Toms of damaging a bedroom door on Monday. Police arrested William Toms at his residence at 4:40 p.m. Monday, according to county records.
William Toms faces a felony charge of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, inflicting serious injury, and a misdemeanor charge of damage to real property.
He was held Monday at the Wake County Detention Center in lieu of $51,000 bail.
