Police were trying Thursday to find a car that hit a man on Capital Boulevard near Calvary Drive on Wednesday night and fled.
Officers said Edward Deane Trice, 50, was taken to WakeMed Hospital. His injuries were not believed to be life-threatening, they said.
The car was headed north on Capital when it hit the man at about 8 p.m. It is most likely a sedan that has damage to the headlight area as well as possible windshield damage, police said.
Police asked that anyone with information that might help investigators identify the car or the driver call the department’s tip line at 919-834-HELP (4357).
