Police have charged a man with murder and robbery in connection with the death of a man who was found in a car on Capital Boulevard last week.
Shyhem Juvon Wilkerson, 19, is one of at least two men police were looking for following the shooting death of Aaron Troy Jacobs on Sept. 21. At about 10:15 that night, police were called about a shooting in the parking lot of a convenience store at 4413 Capital Blvd. and found Jacobs, 24, in a vehicle. He died later at a hospital.
A witness said the two suspects drove off in a silver or gray sedan.
In addition to murder, Wilkerson was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon. He is being held at the Wake County Detention Center.
