Police have released the names of two men found dead outdoors in East Raleigh over the weekend, but say they’re still awaiting an autopsy to say for sure how they died.
Police said Wednesday that Steven Angelo Defalco, 40, and Adam Rinat Creep, 19, were found Sunday morning in an undeveloped area off the 1700 block of Corporation Parkway. Police had withheld their names while they worked to notify the men’s families.
Investigators don’t believe the men died as a result of foul play. They said Tuesday that “exposure to the elements” was likely a factor in their deaths but that a final determination would come from a medical examiner.
Police arrested Creep on a trespassing charge in December and listed his address as a homeless shelter on South Wilmington Street. Defalco was living at a home on Barringer Drive, off Jones Franklin Road, when he was arrested in October on assault charges, according to county records.
