Police have released the name of the pedestrian killed in a collision on the Beltline on Sunday.
Depredion Desean Turner, 24, was walking north across eastbound lanes of Interstate 440 shortly before 6:45 a.m. Sunday when he stepped in front of a 2016 Dodge Charger driven by Jamesha Michelle Johnson, Raleigh police said in a news release Monday.
Turner was hit and died of his injuries at the scene, police said. Johnson, 20, was uninjured, and there were no passengers in her car.
Police still are investigating, and additional details were not released.
