RALEIGH Two 16-year-old Wake County girls are missing after last being seen Thursday morning at their school on Merton Drive in Raleigh, police said Friday.
Kaitlyn Morgan Osborne and Abigail Stender Gold were reported missing by Osborne’s mother shortly after 8 a.m., according to a police report.
They were last seen at the Trilogy School at 3810 Merton Drive, off Six Forks Road south of the North Hills development.
The Trilogy School says it educates students with learning differences.
The disappearance is being handled as a missing-persons case, police said.
Neither girl has issues that could trigger a Silver Alert, police spokeswoman Laura Hourigan said, and 16-year-olds are above the cutoff age for Amber Alerts.
Osborne lives on Windsong Valley Drive, which has a Wake Forest address, and Gold lives on Betts Lane, which is a Raleigh mailing address. Both are in northern Wake County.
