A 21-year-old man was killed in North Raleigh on Monday night when a motorist turned into the path of the motorcycle he was riding, the N.C. State Highway Patrol reported.
William Joseph Schweibinz of 13725 New Light Road was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, said Highway Patrol spokesman Lt. Jeff Gordon.
The accident happened just before 10:40 p.m. on Durant Road near Strokeshire Lane, Gordon said.
State troopers say the motorcycle was traveling west on Durant Road, and the other vehicle was coming east. The second vehicle turned north onto Strokeshire Lane into the path of the Schweibinz’s motorcycle, which struck the side of the vehicle, Gordon said.

Investigators have not yet released the name of the second driver involved in the crash, or the make and model of the vehicle that collided with Schweibinz’s motorcycle.
State troopers are still investigating, and charges have not been filed, Gordon said. State troopers have not yet determined if alcohol played a role in the crash, he said.
