Several dentists in the Triangle will be offering free dental care to veterans on Thursday as part of a national campaign to thank veterans for their service.
Freedom Day USA was founded by a dentist in West Virginia in 2013 and initially spread to other states through a network of dentists. This year, businesses in 29 states will offer some sort of free service to veterans on Sept. 10.
Dentists in Cary, Durham and Raleigh are among the North Carolina businesses taking part in the program, along with a cross-fit gym in Chapel Hill.
