The death of an 18-year-old student who died in a fall from a nine-story building has been determined to be a suicide, North Carolina State University police said Friday.
The male student, who was from Southern Pines, died Tuesday.
Police had said they did not suspect foul play, and Maj. David Kelly said Friday that they based their determination on “the autopsy report, witness statements and other investigative leads.”
Officials did not disclose the student’s name.
He plunged from Dabney Hall, where chemistry, statistics and physics classes are held.
