State troopers charged a Wake County school bus driver with failing to maintain lane control before an accident in which the bus, which carried no students, went into a ditch alongside Pleasant Union Church Road and tipped onto its side.
The accident happened about 8 a.m.
Lt. Jeff Gordon, a State Highway Patrol spokesman, said the bus went off the right side of the road in a curve while going west on the road, near Six Forks Road.
Carolyn Brodie, 58, of Louisburg was the driver, Gordon said, and she was unhurt.

Lisa Luten, spokeswoman for the Wake County Public School System, said officials were investigating the accident.
Brodie was assigned to non-driving duties in the meantime, Luten said.
Firefighters said some diesel fuel spilled from the bus into the ditch.
