Five charged with cocaine possession at Crabtree Valley Mall

Police at Crabtree Valley Mall arrested two men and three woman just after stores closed Sunday evening and charged them all with possession of a gram of cocaine.

Arrest records listed each of the three women as working at Victoria’s Secret. The men had no employers listed.

One of the five, Nicholas Antwan Merritt, 25, of 5105 N. New Hope Road in Raleigh, was being held in lieu of $2 million bail. A magistrate noted that a computer system showed Merritt was wanted in another state, but also that an attorney for Merritt said that had been cleared.

Preston Arkel Neblett, 22, of 2010 Hodges Creek Drive in Raleigh was being held in lieu of $16,000 bail, and Courtney Margaret Berry, 23, of 1005 Winwood Drive in Cary was held in lieu of $11,000 bail.

Bobbi Jamyce Wells, 19, of 2316 Stony Bottom Drive in Raleigh and Sarah Nicole Kennedy, 19, of 432 Bernard Castle Court in Rolesville were freed on bail.

The cocaine charge for each was possession with intent to sell, manufacture or distribute it.

Crabtree police also filed misdemeanor marijuana-possession charges against all except Merritt, and they charged him with possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting an officer.
