Police charged a 25-year-old woman with assault in the stabbing of a man who was found seriously injured at Flashbacks bar on Capital Boulevard early Monday.
Dominique Gail Worrell, 25, who gave booking officers no permanent address, was arrested at the bar about two hours after the incident was reported to police at 3:08 a.m., records showed.
One man was taken to WakeMed Hospital in Raleigh with serious injuries, but police said that an initial assessment by medics indicated they were not life-threatening.
Police had not disclosed the man’s name.
Worrell, who is listed by the state Department of Public Safety as a probation absconder, was charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.
She also was charged with felony probation violation, failure to appear in court on a felony charge of breaking and entering and possessing stolen goods and misdemeanor hit-and-run in connection with a property damage accident in Guilford County.
She was being held in lieu of $91,000 bail.
A judge in Wayne County put Worrell on three years’ probation in March after she was convicted of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury in July 2011, state records showed.
In January, Michael Tavon Talbert, 22, was found shot in the leg in the Flashbacks parking lot and later died of his wound at WakeMed Hospital in Raleigh.
