Raleigh police have charged a Pitt County man with heroin trafficking in August. And a Sanford man, whom the State Highway Patrol charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, remained in the Wake County Detention Center on $1 million bail Tuesday following his first court appearance.
Latance Lavard Brock, 34, of 5001 Braxton Road in Griffin surrendered to face charges of heroin trafficking and conspiracy that police said in a warrant involved between 14 and 24 grams of the drug on Aug. 29.
Police had arrested Joshua Jamaar Vines, 30, of 814 Derwent Place in Knightdale on Sept. 1 on the same trafficking charge. He and Brock were accused of conspiring with each other.
Vines remained in jail in lieu of $300,000 bail, and Brock was held in lieu of $500,000 for a court appearance Tuesday.
