Police are investigating three apparently unrelated shootings in East Durham on Friday night that left three men with injuries that were not life-threatening.
While the investigations are still ongoing, Lt. Daniel Edwards said the shootings don’t appear to be related aside from having occurred in the same part of the city. He said none of the victims were going to die from their injuries.
The first shooting was reported at 9 p.m. at the Oakley Square Apartments at Cheek Road and Hardee Street, according to ABC11. A man was shot and taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
ABC11 says the second shooting was reported after 10 p.m. at Alston Street and Juniper Street. A man was taken to the hospital. His injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.
Just before 11 p.m., ABC11 says a third shooting was reported in the area of Wedgedale Street and Walton Avenue. A man was shot but suffered injuries that were not life-threatening.
Identities of the victims were not available Saturday afternoon.
