Police are appealing to the public for help in finding a man who used a sawed-off long gun to rob a GameStop store last week.

The robber in the 8:30 p.m. heist on July 1 was captured on video as he came into the store and then as he left while stuffing a bag into his pocket.

The man was described as white, in his 20s and about 6 feet tall. He wore camouflage cargo pants, a bright blue T-shirt with “Bethesda Elementary School” on it, a black baseball cap with a UNC logo on the front, a black bandana across his face and black-and-white sports gloves.

He carried a sawed-off, bolt-action weapon with a wooden stock.

The man stole cash from the business and a customer who was in the store at 1533 Glenn School Road.

Anyone with information is asked to call investigators at 919-560-4281, ext. 29438, or CrimeStoppers at 919-683-1200.

CrimeStoppers pays cash rewards for information leading to arrests in felony cases, and callers never have to identify themselves.
