A 30-year-old man died after being shot late Friday night in North Raleigh, police say.
Taurean Whitfield Sutton of Raleigh was shot in the 6100 block of St. Giles Street, just off Glenwood Avenue in the Pleasant Valley area, according to a statement from Raleigh police spokeswoman Laura Hourigan. The shooting happened shortly before 11 p.m.
Hourigan said the man suffered more than one gunshot wound. She said he was taken to WakeMed, where he was pronounced dead.
