Police are investigating a shooting in Durham that claimed the life of a 22-year-old man driving a vehicle on Holloway Street.
Jonathan McClain, of Durham, was driving eastbound near Rochelle Street around 2:45 a.m. when several shots were fired at his vehicle by the occupants of another vehicle, according to investigators.
McClain was pronounced dead at the scene. Two adult male passengers were injured in the shooting, and were taken to the hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Durham police say the incident did not appear to be random. No charges have been filed, and there are no descriptions of the suspects or vehicles at this time.
