Police on Tuesday morning arrested a man from New Jersey and charged him with murder in a fatal shooting Aug. 1 on Pebble Beach Drive.
Xzavier Dawu Murrell, 19, whose address was listed as Asbury Park, N.J., was the second person charged with murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery in the death of Taheem Ivory Lassiter, 21.
Lassiter died at WakeMed Hospital in Raleigh after police found him shot outside apartments in the 4900 block of the street.
Detectives had already arrested 18-year-old Cresyan Tyrek Scurlock on the same charges as Murrell. He was arrested the afternoon after Lassiter was killed.
A third man, Eric Lamont Dillard, 19, has been charged with robbery and conspiracy.
Police had appealed Friday for information that would help them find Murrell, and they said he should be considered armed and dangerous.
Murrell was found in Greenville, as was a second suspect arrested Tuesday in connection with a homicide that happened on Dacian Road the next day.
