Harry Potter books are fantasy, but a Creedmoor woman was being held on two real felony charges Wednesday because Raleigh police said she used someone else’s credit card information to buy "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" online in June.
Lakenya Danel Daniels, 27, turned herself in on Tuesday evening at the Wake County Detention Center to face charges of obtaining property by false pretense and identity theft.
According to an arrest warrant that police had obtained Tuesday, Daniels charged the $27.86 cost of the book to a Coastal Federal Credit Union credit card that belongs to someone else.
The purchase was made June 30 through target.com, the warrant said.

Daniels was held in lieu of $50,000 bail.
