A 19-year-old woman was arrested Tuesday night on charges of human trafficking with a child victim and profiting from prostitution of a minor.
In an arrest warrant, police said Stephany Yamel Kelly, who police listed as living on Blue Ribbon Lane, had been involved between April 1 and June 26.
Police said the charges were part of a case in which they charged Shajan Ivan Marrero, 28, with the same thing on July 11.
According to the charges against her, Kelly was involved in holding a girl in sexual servitude when the girl was 16 and turned 17, and they said she made money from prostituting the girl.
The warrant for Kelly was sworn out the day Marrero was charged. He was already in custody then because he had been arrested June 28 on a felony drug charge, and he remains in the Wake County Detention Center.
Police arrested Kelly about 10:30 p.m. at Neuse Club and Neuse Commons lanes in North Raleigh, records showed. She told booking officers at the detention center that she has no permanent address.
Kelly was held in lieu of $100,000 bail pending her first court appearance.
