Rashad Maulik Henderson was being held on $1.5 million bail Friday after Raleigh police charged him with selling heroin to an informant fives times this year.
In two of the sales, police alleged, enough heroin changed hands for them to charge Henderson with heroin trafficking, a charge that requires at least 4 grams of the drug.
The other charges were for felony possession of heroin and for selling and delivering it. Those are also felonies.
Narcotics detectives swore out arrest warrants for Henderson on Wednesday, and he surrendered at the Wake County Detention Center on Thursday morning, according to county records.

The warrants stated that the first sale to the informant was on March 21.
The most recent date cited was June 8.
In the arrest warrants, police had listed Henderson as living in Knightdale, but he was booked into jail with an address at an apartment on Capital Club Court in Raleigh.
