Wake County deputies returned to the scene of the crime Wednesday – and there they found and arrested a third person they were seeking in a methamphetamine-manufacturing case.
Derek Carson Thorne, 37, was arrested at a mobile home at 2904 Butterquail Drive around midday.
Tuesday, police had arrested Christin Leigh Hompesch, 28, and Ellis Christ Hegele, 37, there and charged them with manufacturing meth, having materials used in that process, keeping a residence for drug purposes and conspiracy.
Never miss a local story.
Authorities also had arrest warrants for Thorne, but he wasn’t there.
All three are accused in warrants of conspiring with the other two to make meth.
Arrest records listed Thorne as living in the Apex area, but with no permanent address. Hompesch and Hegele were listed as living at the mobile home.
A magistrate set Thorne’s bail at $500,000.
