Police arrested an 18-year-old Texas woman Sunday and confiscated what they said was methamphetamine worth at least $847,000 on the street.
Miriam Landin of Brownsville, Texas, had slightly less than 847 grams – almost 1.9 pounds – of methamphetamine when officers from the department’s Special Operations Division took her into custody, police spokesman Wil Glenn said.
Police did not disclose how they learned about Landin or where they arrested her.
Brownsville is near the Mexican border.

Landin was charged with two counts of trafficking in methamphetamine, and a magistrate set her bail at $2.5 million.
She was held for a court appearance Monday.
