A man wanted in Westchester County, N.Y., on kidnapping, sex-trafficking and other charges was arrested at a hotel early Thursday, and a woman with him was charged with harboring a fugitive.
Police took Jason Dulyx, 30, of Mount Veron, N.Y., into custody based on warrants issued last October by a county judge who said Dulyx had failed to appear in court for a hearing on charges of second-degree kidnapping, sex trafficking, labor trafficking and promoting prostitution.
He had been arrested on those charged last July, New York officials said.
Carla Lynette Fields, 25, of Yonkers was charged under North Carolina law with harboring a fugitive in a room she rented at the Extended Stay America on Wake Towne Drive, an arrest warrant said.
Dulyz was being held on $3 million bail for New York authorities. Fields was being held on $10,000 bail. Both were due in court Thursday.
Police said they were acting on information that indicated Dulyx was at the hotel.
