A man who was already in the Wake County Detention Center on robbery and other charges was accused Wednesday of stealing $10,000 worth of copper pipe from a former pharmaceutical lab.
Benjamin Fleming Partin, 43, of 1001 Freedom Road in Raleigh, was charged in an arrest warrant obtained by Wake County sheriff’s deputies with breaking into 1200 N. New Hope Road, a former Grifols, Inc., facility, on May 3.
He also was charged with larceny after breaking into a building and with trespassing.
Partin was being held in the Wake County Detention Center after an Aug. 26 arrest in a robbery on Aug. 15, and he had been charged Monday with obtaining property by false pretenses on June 3.
The charges Wednesday brought Partin’s bail to $125,000, and he was due to make another court appearance Thursday.
