Authorities have arrested a 26-year-old man in Chapel Hill who has been charged with shooting a man to death in Durham nearly two months ago.
Durham police announced on New Year’s Eve that Jamol Louis Dixon had been charged with murder in the slaying of 32-year-old Sanna Manneh on Nov. 18.
Dixon, who lives in Durham, managed to avoid arrest until members of the U.S. Marshals Joint Fugitive Task Force arrested him Wednesday afternoon on North Columbia Street in Chapel Hill, said Durham police spokeswoman Kammie Michael.
Police found Manneh at the intersection of Liberty Street and Peachtree Place at about 11 p.m. on Nov. 19 after answering a shooting call, Michael said.
