Police arrested two men Thursday night on charges of shooting a man and a woman on Hensley Drive earlier this week.
Kevin Contrell Hardin Jr., 19, of 7308 Stonecliff Drive, and Brandon Khalil Sandy, 18, of 6208 Dixon Drive, were each charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury. Each was held on $500,000 bail.
Police found Timothy Webb, 18, and Tanisha Jones, 19 with gunshot wounds Tuesday night. Webb had been shot in the chest and Jones was hit in an arm, police said.
Neither victim’s wounds were thought to be life-threatening.
Police got a call about shots being fired in the 400 block of Hensley Drive a little before 8:30 p.m. that night. They got another call that sent them to Office Center Drive about 2 miles away and found Webb and Jones there.
The two had driven away from Hensley Drive after the shooting, police said.
Arrest records showed that police charged Sandy after questioning at detective headquarters.
Officers arrested Hardin at Bembridge Drive and Wertherson Lane about an hour later, the records stated.
Both men were due in court for a first appearance before a judge on Friday.
