A man from Burlington was facing marijuana trafficking charges in court Monday in the wake of his arrest Friday afternoon by Raleigh police.
Records show that Darrell Lee Harris, 35, of 414 Jenkin St. was charged after being questioned at detective headquarters.
Arrest warrants accused him of two counts of possessing and transporting between 10 and 50 pounds of marijuana, a weight range specified in state law for one level of the trafficking felony charge.
Detectives did not disclose the exact amount of marijuana or where they had taken Harris into custody.
Harris also was charged with using a Toyota Corolla to keep and sell drugs and with conspiring with an unknown person to traffic in marijuana.
His bail was set at $250,000, and he was held over the weekend in the Wake County Detention Center.
