Two men were hospitalized, one for a gunshot wound in his chest, after an incident at a Fuel Stop convenience store on Little Brier Creek Lane early Sunday evening, police said.
Police said the two were the only ones involved, and there was no danger to the public. They were not looking for anyone else in connection with the case, police said.
A 57-year-old man was the one shot, and he was taken to Duke University Hospital in Durham. Police said they did not believe his life was in danger.
The other man involved was 35, and he was taken to Rex Hospital for observation, police said. They did not say he had been hurt.
The shooting happened about 6:30 p.m. at the convenience shop and gas station, which is a block northwest of Little Brier Creek Parkway, a short distance from Glenwood Avenue.
