Three people were fatally shot Friday evening and one was charged with murder in what appeared to be a dispute between neighbors, according to the Wake County Sheriff’s Department.
Officers responding to a call about 5:55 p.m. in the 5900 block of Clearsprings Drive found the bodies of two women and a man, the Sheriff’s Department stated in a release late Friday.
The victims were identified as Elaine Toby Mazzella, 76, of Raleigh; and Sandy Mazzella, 47, and Stephenie Ann Mazzella, 43, both of whom lived at 5907 Clearsprings Drive.
Jonathan Frederick Sander, 52, who lives at 5917 Clearsprings Drive, was taken into custody as a suspect shortly after the shootings and later charged with murder.
Officers had been to the area earlier in the day because of what Sheriff Donnie Harrison seemed to have been an ongoing dispute.
Deputies were first called in about 9 a.m. after neighbors heard yelling from two homes, ABC11 reported.
