Police arrested three teens and a juvenile after a pizza delivery driver reported he was the victim of a robbery attempt in the Cardinal Lake neighborhood in the northeast part of the city.
Brian Kenan, 16, Jr., Darius York, 17, and Quamaine York, 18 were charged with attempted armed robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, police said.
A 14-year-old who was with them was petitioned to juvenile justice authorities and confined to a detention center, police said.
The Papa John’s driver was on Red Bird Drive in the Cardinal Lakes neighborhood about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday when two teenagers armed with a gun demanded money, according to police.
He told officers that he refused, and the two with the gun got into a car with two others and left.
The delivery driver gave police a description of the car, and Officer T.D. Hardy stopped it in the same neighborhood shortly after, police said.
The Yorks and Kenan were held in lieu of $250,000 bail each. They were scheduled for court appearances Friday.
Police did not say how the Yorks are related.
