Police say they are searching for two more men they think were involved in the shooting death of a 21-year-old man who was targeted for robbery earlier this month in West Durham.
Investigators have charged Dominique La’Ron Percell, 20, and Anthony Dashaun Terry, 21, both of Durham, with murder and felony conspiracy in the shooting death of Spencer Garrett Harrison of Durham on April 4. Percell is also charged with attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon, said police spokeswoman Kammie Michael.
Earlier this month, police charged a third man, Nathaniel Antonio Nelson, 26, of Durham, with first-degree murder and attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon in connection with Harrison’s death.
The shooting was reported just before 4:30 a.m. at an apartment complex in the 4800 block of University Drive. Police found Harrison lying in front of an apartment, and he later died at a hospital.
Percell and Terry remain at large. Investigators urge anyone with information on their whereabouts to call 919-560-4440, ext. 29337, or CrimeStoppers at 919-683-1200. CrimeStoppers pays cash rewards for information leading to arrests in felony cases, and callers never have to identify themselves.
