A Raleigh woman was arrested Monday night on a charge that she had impersonated a law enforcement officer in a telephone call that told two people who worked with her ex-husband's wife that she was wanted by police, police said.
Valerie Pearl Kisgen, 44, was arrested at her home at 10947 Pendragon Way about 7 p.m., records showed.
In an arrest warrant obtained May 20, an investigator alleged that on April 27, Kisgen had called the wife’s workplace and told two people there that there was an arrest warrant pending for her.
Kisgen told the people she was a sworn law enforcement officer, the warrant charged.
Kisgen also was charged with making a harassing phone call for “the purpose of annoying, threatening, terrifying, harassing and embarrassing” the wife.
Both charges are misdemeanors. Kisgen was released on $4,000 bail. A court session in the case was scheduled for June 17.
